Natedogg you arethe MOTHER****ING MAN. After a a speedy run to autozone to buy some hose. I discover that thos elines are fricking HOT COOLANT ( I wish I had known that before). But in any case a few good things happned...there' sno longer exposed outlets in the engine bay, my car runs cooler now, AND most importantly, the car idles perfectly now!!!.... ANy ideas as to why those hoses would be disconnected?

Nate, if I could give you points for being so helpful I would! Unfortunately, I can't but I will give you big props for going out of your way to get those pics, mark them and then post them up and WITH hyperlinks....nice touch!
OP, there's really no reason to leave those lines disconnected unless the original owner removed it to block off the FIAV (the lower portion of the throttle body), but it goes farther than that, so I couldn't tell you. Perhaps the previous owner was just a dummy or just forgot to reconnect it at some point.
Regardless, I'm glad you were able to get the info you needed to get that situated.
