I recently bought a 97 eclipse gst spyder, new 3"downpipe, apexi exhaust, Intake. Manual boost controller,BOV,Exedy Stage 1 Clutch,Am I ready for a 16g turbo bolt on upgrade?? Any input would be great thanks!!! Not lookin for ultimate performance just a step up for a little money...

just a suggeastion but do you also have any fuel upgrades. If you are going with a 16g then you definetly need at least a fuel pump and might as well get some injectors too. Then go with an SAFC II and a wideband O2 to really get the most out of the turbo. Just a suggestion.

well supposedly that ebya one came with it but i didnt see the j-pipe there, did you?

 

looks like everything but the J pipe. maybe it is a 1G direct fit

 

that is what i was thinking becuase it says 1g in the name but it also tryes to get 2g peole to look at it too. So if you bought the one on ebay you would have to get the j pipe

awesome... Im gunna get the walboro 255 pump? and the turbo and build from there gradually w/ injectors and fuel controllers over time. What is a j-pipe??? how much power from stock am I lookin at? Any other suggestions/comments? Thanks guys.

 

It says it has everything needed to bolt right on(2g install kit)... it looks like it has a black "jpipe" in the picture. If I get it can I bolt it up myself? Should I be worried about pushing to much boost?(whats my limits?). and do I need a boost gauge to be sure about how much Im pushin. Thanks!
