Default RE: Turbo next? Give me your opinion

Alright finally someone who is straight forward and sounds like they
know what they are talkin about... alright I may have gotten the knockoff
but I made a mistake and bought it 2 days ago. Anyways, gotta live with
what I got. I just bought the car last week and the car is pretty much
stock right now and I have $750 left to blow after buying and currently
being shipped...
-Apexi N1 muffler
-3" High flow cat
-3" downpipe
-Knock off Intake
-16 G turbo with 2g install kit

currently have a loud BOV on car thats it
I hope to install turbo, downpipe and intake myself.

Now from what I have collected from everyone else and yourself is here
are the components I need to make things happen...

-Mandatory(Guage Pod with knock off Boost guage)
-Manual Boost Controller
-190LPH fuel pump(does it matter what brand and is there a install
kit?)

Here are the things I am still very confused about and need you help on
deciding...
-550 Fuel Injectors
-FPR(fuel pressure regulator for fuel pump???)
-J-pipe(someone said its something to do with turbo and IC piping????)

Heres the EXACT turbo kit I have purchase..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EVO-3...52074494QQrdZ1

What do you recommend I havent installed any of the parts above, and I
have 750 to make everything right before I put things on.

Thanks for your support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you need to buy injectors Buy 660s unless you find EVO 550s cheap. they are like the same price new. a J pipe is needed on a 2G car. Because the T25 stock turbo lower IC pipe comes out of the compressor housing faceing straight down the 16G comes out faceing straight up so you need a pipe like a J to loop it around and back down into the stock postion on the stock turbo.

As for the guages don't get some knockoff boost guage GET A GOOD QUAITY PROVEN GUAGE. It'll cost a bit more but you'll be glad you did. Accuracy is REQUIRED for boost settings.

you do need a j pipe. roadrace sells them for around $60.

once again i am teling you, forget about the injectors, you are not ready for them. YOU DO NOT NEED INJECTORS!!!!!
the stock injectors will be fine up to around 15-16psi on that turbo. and you can easily run 13's with that power. if you want to run more boost than that, buy bigger injectors, but id say forget about em until you inderstand more about tuning. You cant buy bigger injectors until a. you buy something to tune them (SAFC, MAFT, DSMlink etc) and b. you have some kind of data logging available to tune with (pocketlogger, wideband, or pay a shop to dynotune your car)

injectors dont just bolt in, people stop telling him to buy them.

I agree. but if he wants to make a fast car he needs them and if he wants to be safe. How do injectors not just bolt in they are not that hard if you have tools. other than learning the tuneing end which with an SAFCII is stupid easy. I dont know if I would run 16 PSI on stock injectors though well if he has a pump maybe but even then I just dont like the idea because you really dont have very much headroom with them. you dont need them now is all plaing and simple you can get away with stock ones for a while untill you learn more, and that would be a good idea

for the fuel pump i would say either a walbro 190 or a 255. I know if you get the 255 you will definetly need the FPR. I am not sure about the 190 though

Walbro 190 is fine for the DSM you dont need a j pipe unless you get teh 16G turbo and oil feeds and stuff. Dont think you really need an FPR on a 190 but ill let someone else answer that I dont have a DSM I have an EVO sooo its a lil different lol
