Default Underdrive Pulleys

A while ago I asked about a pulley kit for my car. I was told that the pulleys used on a turbo 2.0 4G63 engine would fit a non-turbo 2.4 4G64 engine. He said that the pulleys are the same and that he used the unorthadox racing pulley kit. After doing some research, I noticed that some companies are selling pulley kits for the alternator and the power steering, while other sell the crank shaft pulley kits. I'm wondering if I should get both for my spyder. But if anybody knows for sure if both pulley kits for a turbo will fit my GS 2.4 liter engine, please let me know.

The altenator, power steering, and ac compressor pulley will work for sure. I had those on my spyder and they worked without flaw.

Thanks SpyderGS. On a differenct note, do you know if spark plug wires and radiator hoses for the 4G63 are the same for the 4G64, because I was looking to upgrade with better wires and hoses.

Is the A/C compressor pulley the crankshaft pulley, or is that something else?

the wires for the 4g63 will not work, the caps for the plugs are much longer on the 4g64 because of the valve cover being much deeper.........

It's actually the crankshaft pulley, i just call it the AC pulley because on other cars i worked on they were together. But yeah, sorry for the mis-interpretation. The power steering, Crankshaft, and alternator pulleys do work.

I wouldn't put an underdrive on the power steering pump, if that's working less than that's extra stress on all your steering shaft joints and rack. On just about any V8 underdrive pullies will cover the crank, alternator, and waterpump, all things you can do without seeing any real adverse affects to anything. If you have a high draw stereo you may not want to do the alternator as it will decrease the output slightly. As for the AC compressor and the crank those cannot be the same thing unless the ac compressor was facing the engine and shared a pulley with the crank and that just doesn't happen.
