Update on my 99 GST...
First off the squeak in my clutch pedal bushing is finally gone, alittle dielectric grease finally worked wonders. And 2nd, I finally got my front pipe installed BUT something came to my attention in the process. Keep in mind I had the OEM Cat installed first with new gaskets as well for Smog Referee purposes. I left the rest of the aftermarket exhaust system alone.
So today when the front pipe came off there was build up on the Cat/front pipe gasket from a leak. I figured it was because it was an OEM cat and an aftermarket front pipe. I knew I had an exhaust leak already coming from the front pipe area, 1. because I could hear it 2. I had a lean mixture during a smog test (but still passed). I asked the techs to make sure the leak was gone when they were done and they said yeah its gone. When I got home after all the work was done I listened for the leak again and I dont know if its me or not but I can still hear a faint hissing sound from under the car, not a steady hiss but off and on. Please tell me the slight hissing sound is not a leak!
I intend to go back to have them check it out again in a day or two to make sure the leak is actually gone. The exhaust manifold, front pipe, and cat converter are all now OEM with new gaskets. I hope its fixed.

RE: Update on my 99 GST...
No exhaust leak to be found WooHoo! And I noticed there was a small decrease in RPM surge when I hit the gas. Before, pretty much anything more than 50% throttle started a RPM surge...now its good to accelerate at 50%. I havent pushed it passed that and I dont intend to just in case the clutch still burns up. Next on my list is either the intake revert to stock or new Act clutch.
