Default Upgrading fuel - does this make sense?

Ok, so i've been doing some reading lately and I wanted to run things by some of you all.

I have a 95 FWD GST

I want to upgrade to the following:

Turbo: MHI EVO III 16G
Injectors: FIC 650s
Fuel Pump: Walbro 190
DSMlink

From what I have read this seems to be the easiest setup if I want to get to 350-400hp

I know I will have to get a 2g install kit for that Turbo, right?

Is there anything else I should do?

Those are good injectors for the DSMlink right?

Thanks

Oh, and I know I need to get a PC too.

You should have these mods too. You might wanna go with a 255lph fuel pump too.. and then you will need an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator.

FMIC
BOV
Exhaust
Intake
Clutch (ACT2100 is good)
Gauges (Boost, wideband)
Boost controller

Yes you will need the install kit, and yes those injecters are just fine for DSMLink.

Get some POS laptop off of ebay for next to nothing.. thats what everyone else does lol

that turbo will push you up to apx 350whp with a VERY GOOD tune. and apx 400whp on either meth injection or race gas. but either way 350 is no joke. glad to see somebody actually doing research before asking questions.

Thanks RCJ so since I know I wont tune my car "very good", should I get a better Turbo?

Sebba,

I have a 1G BOV
Dejon Intake
MBC
Boost Gauge

My thing is I think you told me I wouldn't need to upgrade my exhaust for 350hp. I currently have an aftermarket muffler and no cat.
Would I need to go to 3in on the exhaust?
Also is a FMIC really necessary. I thought I read on here that the SMIC is good till 400hp?
I also thought the 190 walbro was good enough?

Another thing, my clutch is new and I was figuring I would just tear it up and replace it when I need to. Or should I replace it first?

Damn, looks like I shoulda did more research.

That wasn't me...

You wouldn't need to go 3in per say. 2.5 will do, but 3in will do better.

Uuuh... barely good for 300.

I also thought the 190 walbro was good enough?

For most 16g setups, yes. But this seems like you want to run this turbo at its limits.

If its new you should be fine.

The 16g is capable of making that power,

the main reason why you wanna get the 255 is cause its the same price as the 190 but will be better if you ever wanna go bigger, etc. and you can get a supra smic, but i still think you definitely should get the fmic

Yeah this is a FMIC mandatory setup.

The need for a fuel pressure regulator bumps up the cost of the 255.

Another thing that annoys me.. is how people say... "255HP fuel pump" ... morons.

Man I didnt say that **** sebba lol.

Ok, is AEM the recommended wideband? I mean I've been doing some reading and that seems to be the recommended unit. Why the hell is it so expensive? I'll have a $75 boost gauge next to a $600+ wideband. WTF?

A guy I know has a used greddy fmic that I will probably get. But dammit, that wideband is an issue man.

Hey I heard (read really) there was a write up by silver or gsx about widebands. I can't seem to find it. Do you guys know where it is?

Also, can I do the exhaust last?

Is the Aeromotive AFPR good?

Should I go with an external wastegate? I was reading they are better, but does that alter my setup?

kidd you're lost get the aem 6 in 1 wideband it's $250, idk where you saw 600+

and yeah the aeromotive fpr is good, if you want i have one for sale ,never installed
with that setup if you don't go with an external setup you'd prolly want to port the turbo and have a 34mm flapper installed

you can use any wideband you want but most people use AEM....but i seen em for about 300 bucks, plus you can find used ones one DSM Trader for cheaper. just do a search to see whats out there on google under products and just search widebands.

and with the exhaust, i would get it in b4 you tune. so personally i would wait to put anthing in untill you get everything you need and take a few day off and put them in at once.
