Depends how it is used. In small quantaties it can be used to strengthen things without restricting flexability. The belt is not 100% kevlar.

No need to get hostile cuz, seems like Sang. was just stating that your insight on the Greddy belt came off as a little biased and unfair.
The guys (50ul }{4ck3r) just looking for a good belt and now obviously not getting much help.
So to start getting defensive and acting like your backed against a corner and start flaring insults is childish and simply ignorant.

And as for the original intent of the post, being new to the world of the Eclipse, i'd be no info to the whereabouts of a good quality belt.
I would say either a dealer or some aftermarket company like Greddy.

That just my 2 cents, take it or leave it.

HOW WAS IT unfair?

I simply said... it is stronger for one reason ONLY... for protecting what people have invested in their motors... now... what i said was if you have a stock motor... that kinda defeats the purpose of the Kevlar belt... so the stock one will do just fine.

OK Sebba, First off... Nevermind I'm not even going to lower myself that far. There is a post that has been deleted from another member (That member knows who he is) that said nothing more than "GReddy is gay" THAT is what I went off on.

As for kevlasr's flexibility, Remember you're thinking of the Kevlar as part of formed products. THOSE are encased in a resin which makes them hard and immobile. Kevlar is actually a woven sheet and is QUITE flexible. Remember they make protective vests out of this same material. If you've never seen or researched the production of carbon fiber or carbon kevlar products try looking it up. It's actually a rather interesting process and you'll learn alot aboutt he properties of carbon fiber, fiberglass, and kevlar.
