Default Visual Turbo Breakdown

Hey Everyone!
I read the sticky on turbos, which is great btw! I also searched, maybe the wrong words, but I can't find what I am looking for! I have tried How Stuff Works vfaq.com and nothing! I need a website to breakdown visually a turbo and explain everything about a turbo! I want to upgrade like I stated in previous posts but I don't understand some of the options some sites ask. For instance the difference between .48 a/r and .82 a/r. what is a/r?? wheel sizes etc etc. If I have some visuals and explanations to go with it, it would help me out. Please help me out!! Emoz Sanguis(sp) and Slow420 please chime in
Thank You

a/r is the ratio of the area of the compressor housing to the distance from the center of the tube to the turbine shaft. It basically tells you how restrictive a turbo will be and how fast the spool up will be. Smaller a/r means faster spool up but more restrictive so less power it can generate, and larger a/r is just the opposite.

never seen Garret's but i have learned a TON of stuff about cars on that website, if any newbies ever feel the need to read lol look their article on Cams, it's pretty cool, it also gives 3-d views of how they work and how V-Tec's work.

HSW doesn't get in depth that I wanted to know.. the site engineer showed is what i needed. I wonder if we can get that site as a sticky in the write up of turbos.
