Default wanting a 2nd gen

ime looking to buy a second generation eclipse and i had a couple of questions 1- how much should i pay for one in good condition and 2-would it be possible to put a bigger engine like a V6 under the hood without too much modification and to have enough room for aftermarket parts?

why a V6? the GSTs and GSXs can make alot more power than a N\A V6

I completely agree with you on this one. the 4G63 is the way to go if you want some power

Well I wouldn't pay more than $9000 for one with lower miles and in good condition...Why the hell would anyone want to put a V-6 in a 2G????!!! A 4g63 turbo in a GS-T or GS-X is the way to go...I have a '99 GS-T with the 4g63 turbo that just rolled 51,000 miles on it this summer (had 45,600 on it when I bought it 2 1/2 years ago) and I absolutely love it...putting a v-6 in it would be retarded! A 4g63 with some mods performs awesome and I'm extremely happy with mine..Get the 2G with a turbo and can that V-6 idea..I think that was a mistake by Mitsubishi anyway when they first came out with the 3G's.

open the hood you will see a turbo also the motor placement on the 4g63"gs-t gsx" the cams and crank is on the drivers side
on the 420A"GS/RS" the cams and crank are on the passanger side.

then you have to think about power to weight cause the spyder gst is one heavy mother. just thaught i would add that.
