Default wastegate mount question??

i was wondering where is the best spot to mount the wastegate? on the manifold or on the o2 housing? and should i dump it back into the exhaust or the atmosphere.. like with a dump tube...

also what size wastegate would be suitable or the best choice? considering i will eventually wanna be pushing between 400-450hp in the future...

was thinking something along the lines of a 20g... or maybe a 50~ trim or similar power numbers to these in a ball bearing form. i dont have an exact turbo yet.

I have a wastegate on one of my spare exhaust manifolds and I've been reading that the o2 housing is the best place to stick an external.
It makes sense actually. The manifold location is releasing little exhaust pressures since it's before the manifold collector where the o2 releases a lot more pressures since it's after the collector in the manifold.

Well, that depends on your current to future turbo. Most go with an Evo3 o2 housing as it has larger openings over the stock housing, or you can just port your stock housing to accommodate a larger turbo's exhaust side.
This also depends on if your future turbo is going to have be a Mitsu flanged turbo since the EVO/stock o2 housing is...Mitsu
This is one reason to go with a manifold mounted wastegate, but not necessarily the best reason.
