Hey guys. I was driving down the road today and decided to floor it and the rpm's just raised up and didnt accelerate at all. It was really weird. It actually did it once after a night of driving it hard. I drove it hard that night and on the way home it did that. But I figure it was just because I drove it hard and it just needed time to cool down.

Anyone have any idea what it could be. I drove it today and it did it every once in awhile. It really pissed me off. It feels like the turbo didnt spool and the rpms just raised and my exhaust got louder. Someone please help.

 

I had that happen to me once. it was because my clutch was completely burnt off. I ended up bending/breaking some forks and screwin up some sycronizers (sp). not sure if that is your prob though

 

Well, I am pretty sure I need a new clutch. So I guess thats it. I think. My clutch sucks.

I guess I should go on ahead and start thinking about the clutch. By the way, how much did that end up costing you?

Its definately a worn out clutch. If you put it in yourself, you will save a lot of money, because a lot of **** has to come out before you can even get to the clutch, and the mechanics will be racking up all your money.

 

i would figure on probably around 400-500 in labor costs. Depending on where you go.

 

just do it yourself. if you know what your doing. because i had the same problem where i would floor it and in 3rd gear it would slip like no other.

Stupid Clutch! I have never changed it before. So I wouldn't be able to do it. Is it easy? I actually have a friend that knows how. Maybe he can help me...

 

No its really not easy. it requires a lot of tools, and a lot of time.

 

What clutch do you guys recommend? I believe you guys said Act 2600.... not sure though.

I only need one to support up to 380 horses. Do you guys recommend any off ebay? I dont have a lot of money right now.
