I have a problem with my Eclipse GS 1995 . Every morning when I'm heating up the car, it will sputter for about 5 seconds and that's it. When it does that, it sucks huge amount of air into my air intake and the rpm raises. AFter that warming up in the morning, it won't happen again the rest of the day. Only in the morning or when the car is cold. Any suggestion guys?

 

what makes you say its suckin in air? If im to say anything i think its your plugs or wires

 

I just put in all new spark plugs. Why I say it suck so much air because when I open it one morning to hear what is it, I can feel the air intake sucking so much air. Also I can hear it

 

Still doing the same thing with new spark plugs

 

hmmm... do you have a leak any place?

 

used to have valve cover leak but I have got it fixed but still doing that. Since I got my new valve cover fixed I have another problem besides that suction. My car sputter once a while when the rmp up to 3000 and I have to switch up the gear. After about few sputtering it will come back to normal again.

 

you have a vac leak someplace.

Do you have any smoke from the exhaust?... a valve cover leak isnt what i was talkin about... that wont have any effect on anything.

 

there is no smoke out of the exhaust and the mechanic checking on my car didn't find anything
