What clutch to choose for 98 GSX HELP!
Ok so the clutch is about to go out in my GSX, I dont really know which one to get. I have exhaust, intake and a boost controller right now. The only other thing that I am going to do to the car eventually is 16g turbo, I dont want to spend too much, what would be a good one? also how hard is it to install yourself?

ACT2600 with a street disc. NOT a puck disc. This will do you right, trust me.
Its not exactly something i would want to do... put it that way. Changing the clutch on a FWD car sucks enough but AWD makes it more complicated. If you dont know what your doing... that wont help you either. But if your willing to learn...... have fun!

what kind of automotive experience do you have? i'd say on a scale from 1-10 that it's probably in the 6-7 range w/ an AWD car. I did one in an EVO and it was not fun at all!!!

dude, all i gotta say.. is you have to remove a bit of stuff. it takes time, but it is a simple process. and you should have someone help pull the tranny with you. makes lif simpler... when i did it i made sure i cleaned out the whole inner housing... cuz there was clutch dust all over it.... just make sure you take your time... it is pretty easy bud.

Ok so before I actually purchase this thing (ACT 2600 with street disc and light weight flywheel), I just wanted to make sure of a couple things, one is will I have problems with the hydraulics on teh clutch after installing the ACT 2600. And 2 is it still pretty easy on the foot?

The 2600 is alittle stiffer on the foot, but not too bad. Obviously it will be alittle more than stock. The only thing you may need to adjust with the clutch is the pedal adjusting screw because they seem to need to change position with the upgraded clutch. But the hydraulics should be fine
