Default What to do?????

I've had my stock 99 GS with 95k miles for about 6 months now. I've been in love with these cars ever since I laid eyes on them.

The lack of power is starting to bug me. Seems as if there is nothing there from 1500 to 2200 rpm. What can I do to improve the low end torque and HP?

My plans for this car are for now are to use it as a daily driver but I want it to hold its ground. I dont want a 10 second car (well i do, but wont happen with my budget) but I want a car that can make me excited when I hit the gas. Throttle response is something else im not happy with.

My dream was to have it turboed. I thought you could do a engine swap from gs-t but from what i've been reading i guess not. Why exactly wont it fit?

get it bored out, bigger pistons, etc.... That will give you a bunch more low end power.

If its a 420a i wouldnt bother... but if he really wants to spend a large amount of money... then i guess a bore is ok.

They are by Mania they are the 18 inch Chrome Mania Vermont and they also come in a kind of gunmetal. I have plenty of pics of them on the car.

I paid roughly $3000 for them (£1800) because they are made in the UK. I have found a set on ebay that are going for really cheap... Never been used, new tires and they are only asking very little to ship to the US. Bargain not to be missed

silver eclipse to get the biggest gains with a smaller budget you can stroke out the engine, but thats about it. you can do other things to get small increases like catback, intake etc. but stroking, turboing, and supercharging are really the only things you can do to make a HUGE increase. stroking is the cheapest. then turboing because you basically have to stroke your engine before you can force induct the 420a w/o shootin a rod through the engine. then supercharing, the only reason supercharing is so much more expensive is b/c there are such limitations in kits for the 420a the cheapest/only one i've found was 5k by itself. add that to the bottom end rebuild you've spent well over 6500.
