Default what gen?

my brother had a 99 eclipse. he recently traded it in for a 04 and has a set of coilovers that he never put on the old car.

first question-will they fit the 04? i don't think they will which is why i'm telling him to sell them. which brings me to my next question. what generation eclipse is the 99 and what are the year ranges for that gen? thanks guys!

so i looked and couldn't tell who makes them. there was no brand stamped on the springs as there normally is......maybe that is an indication to who makes them? not sure. i'm trying to do some research to figure it out but my dumb *** brother doesn't remember the site he got them from or who makes them......i told him it was only a year ago, he tells me it wouldn't of mattered if it was a week ago.[sm=smiley24.gif] not a big car guy my brother is......

I don't think that the coilovers for 3rd generation will fit 2nd generation eclipses. Do these coilovers your brother bought come with struts? Just wondering because I've bought some fake coilovers on ebay for like $50 and they were garbage. Real coilovers come with the shock/struts. If they are real coilovers, they should be close to $1,000. H&R is probably the best. Just letting you know because I don't know how long those coilovers I bought would last in my car if I installed them. I do reccomend Tokico for struts though.

the set was about $600. my weitec setup in my jetta was a little over 300 and its one of the best suspensions i've ever had.......when you buy the H&Rs' or the Eibachs' your paying for a lot of advertising at the same time........IMHO

here is a closer shot? any idea who makes them?????
