ok i have crazy idle( gos up and down b about 500 rpms- as seen in video) and has a high pitched whine sound- not belt watch video to see what i mean. trying to figure this out.

sounds like your turbos on the way out bud

as for the idle surge, chances are its your IAC valve

 

it actually sounds pretty cool with the whine.....lol j/k have you done a boost leak test?

 

so you think the valve is just opening and closing for some reason or what?

 

can you stick your head in the engine bay and let us know what area of the engine bay the sound is coming from. it would help to know which area it is coming from to determine what parts or components could be the culprit. i have a few guesses but don't wanna throw out ideas... when i could make a more educated decision with more info.

 

you can try cleaning it out with throttle body cleaner. but chances are your gonna have to replace it.

 

u r talking bout the iacv and tell me ur ideas cuz i have a few that others have told me

 

ya im talking about the iac. i cant really think of anything else besides the turbo that would causea whine like that.

 

someone told me it could b my ac compressor making that noise. the car has been sitting for a few so it could b the compr. ok well i will order the iac Idle Air Control Valve is what i am assuming you are talking bout right?

 

ya thats what im talking about. clean it out and see if it helps at all before you order a new one. as for the AC, ive never heard it make any whining noises like that, but i guess it could happen. try and listen to see where the noise is coming from
