Topped at 134mph on the old Spyder. When you get past 120mph with the top down, the wind is kicking.....

Anyone ever reached redline in fifth gear, or even fourth? I know that's hard for the 4g63 guys, but us 4g64 junkies have a thousand less rpms to worry about.

 

i was goin home and a friend with a z24 cavalier was following me and passed me but once we got round the bend and on the strait away, about a half mile straight i decided to race after a min and stomped on it. i passed him and his foot was to the floor i just flew by him as i entered the 30mph zone doin 120 lmfao. i live next to the cop to so i got lucky he wasnt out lol

 

i have gotten up to 130. i thought dsm's had govenors that limted top speed to 135??

and GST WNB do you have a GS-T or a GS?? cause it would tak e a whitle for a GS to get up to 135

 

Well, I know the 3g Eclipses' aren't govonored in any way, they are limited by engine horsepower, gear ratio and atmospheric drag. http://www.10south.net/~mprobins/ecl...0-00105AA41E05

 

The GS-ts have a 135 max speed limiter in the ecu, and a gsx's is 145 I think.

 

If you read my name,it says GST WNB=GST wanna be,so that means that I got a GS,and no it didn't take that long for my eclipse to get there,all I got is a air filter and a muffler...just a muffler not all new pipeing.For some reason my Eclipse is fast for A GS Eclipse....maybe it just my driving.I used to have a mustang,and it was just a regerler mustang,it was a 96,3.8 V6....I never lost in it.I ate the newer gt's alive,and it only had a intake and full exhaust.But back to my Eclipse,I raced a talon in C-ville,in ohio, that had the same engine in has I did,plus it had Intake, Full exhaust,Header,High flow Cat,and a chrome valve cover on itand Cam gears,plus it looked good to.....and I beat him.He had this shocked look on his faced after words.hehe

 

i was like 200 rpm's from redline in my spyder, it just wouldnt do it, but i stayed at that speed for about 6-10 seconds before i came to a curve in the highway and had to slow down.......... i love racing cars that have a limiter at like 110, its just funny to start pullin and keep goin.............

 

haha about 120-125 it was very late and i was coming home from school on the freeway. wish i could have gone more but the road was bumpy and i didnt want to risk losing mai car..........

 

145 is the fastest i have got my up to, i had to slw down i started thinking about the ticket i would get. well and jail time

 

Ive gone about 138 in my '97 GS-T Spyder...not sure how many r.p.m's left before redline; i was too busy watching the road and the speedometer, then i decided to slow down cuz it was my exit...lol
