Default where to buy a (2nd gen) engine?

Hi. I'm interested in buying a really good 97 eclipse gst, but it has about 120k miles on it. I'd like to buy a new engine for it, but dont know where to find a good one that's pretty affordable. I've seen some as good as low as about $700... I also saw a place a while ago that offered engines that had about 30k miles on it, and they just refurbished them and sold em at a good price.

Any help? it'd b much appreciated!

I dont think hes looking to spend that kind of money, Josh... for a performance engine. I think hes looking for cheap, ans SBR and Buscher dont do 'cheap', lol

i'm about to part my Eclipse out in the near future. I'm gonna have a freshly rebuilt engine for sale, sold as a shortblock or a longblock.PM me if interested.

would it be better to buy an engine or just get rebuild parts and replace those with the old ones?

cuz all of the eclipses around my area are 120k and over... I want to put an engine with lower mileage so it doesnt die on me in a couple miles.

If you are looking to buy a whole new engine any way, why not get a 6 bolt. I know some 7 bolts dont crank walk. But why chance it?

Yeah I know about those two websites, thanks though for trying to help. I just wanted to see if I could find something cheap. If I were to get a 1st gen engine instead of 2nd gen, wud I have to completely buy replacement parts for EVERYTHING under the hood??
