thanks guys. im going to attempt this today by myself.
and this will be my first timing job. so hopefully i do it correctly!!!
i will most likely have a question or 2 through out the process.
and real quick. on the valve cover. do i have to buy new gaskets. or can i reuse the old ones on there. cus im short on cash!!!

you can reuse the old one usually, remember not to crank the valve cover bolts too tight or it'll crack, its really easy to do, i think the torque is something like 22 inch Lbs, which is just past hand tight
as far as the timing part goes you might want to have someone give you a hand thats done it before

thank you mitsubishi for using cheap metal parts!!!
well when i broke the nut on the cam sprocket. the dowel/journal whatever. snaped, lol so now i need a new camshaft.
at least i got the sprocket off. lol

yah!!! if i didn't make it very clear. i was a little pissed off!
on the end of the camshaft there is a dowell, to hold the cam sprocket in place.
well when i broke the bolt loose on the sprocket. the dowell snapped as well. i mean was there any other way to do it.
this would have happend to anyone. the bolt was just that tight!!!
so now i need a new camshaft, right???
how much?
or how much for someone to do it at this point???
