seems like ur rings are bad and whiteish "blueish" smoke is about the same thing i was gonna say valve seals, but with that compression test, and correct me if i wrong, the compression should be the same all the way around so the rings could be letting oil get in the combustion chamber. that and the valve seals with that much mileage u want to do it anyways

it's 1 of 2 things.... either a blown ring or blown head gasket. the 420a's are NOTORIOUS for blowing head gaskets and even more so for blowing them in the #1 cylinder. sounds like a bad HG to me....

ok, either way. those are the symptoms of a head gasket gone

what would new valve seals have to do with white smoke from the exhaust?

if you can afford it maybe just swap out the motor with a rebuilt one or even a new one. i know my 4g63 was beat to hell before i bought it and blew up hopefully you dont have that problem. mine was a headgasket leak that turned into a nice 4000 dollar repair. just trying to give u some more ideas

4000 for a head gasket, you got ripped off no matter what else was done. It sounds like a bad head gasket to me also. Try the oil test. Put alittle oil down the socket, and redo the compression test in that cylinder. If the # increases then its the piston rings

^^ i was going to suggest that. There is no point in pulling the motor with an expectation only to find that the problem is totally unrelated to what you first thought.
