Would the fact that my GSX is an auto make it sooo slow? I run the 1/4 in about 17 sec. Is that normal for a/t GSX? Everything is stock cept for exhaust and intake filter. I'm also boostign about 12 lbs. My cousins civic is having better times than me and his is a Sohc V-tec.

 

my rs used to run a 17 flat... you sure you dont just have a gs and are in denial?

 

I bet if you are running the stock BOV that is slowing you down a little.

True... must be a MAJOR boost leak + bad driving + auto tranny handicap.

How did you launch the car?

 

lol i DO NOT own a gs. i also know it's a gsx cause i've looked up the car's number. for the leak, i dont think im leaking because i have a boost gauge set up. it boost 12 everytime i throttle it and stays at 12 until i release the gas. when i launch, i hold the brake and rev to about 2.5-3k rpm and when it's go time, i smash it right after releasing the brake.

how are you reving an auto that high. Stock Stall is like 1500-1800 or something like that. so you can rev highing while in gear. if your putting it N to rev and dropping to drive then that is your problem

 

would dyno-ing the car help in anyway at all?
