I have a non turbo 99 eclipse that has a blown
motor,
I also have a 91 eagle talon tsi awd that was just wrecked(some dumb *** ran a stop sign and I
t-boned him)
My question is, Can I put the talon engine in the 99 eclipse without spending more than a 1000 dollars?

well u got all the parts if u do all the labor and have very good fabrication/welding skills you could do it for cheep u got all the parts but do you have the time.

its going to take alot of modifications to the engine bay to make it fit. but like get435 said, if you can do ALL the work yourself, then you could possible do it for that amount. if you can't do the work yourself, then its going to cost you an arm and a leg.

 

Even if you have everything, there is no way it can be done for less than a grand.

If all the motor mounts are still good in the car should not cost that much he has all the parts what will cost a grand i know he is not oing to buy that much in parts like mounts and **** like that. The hardest part of the project i see is the cutting and fabraction of the motor mounts.

 

So you mean to tell me that to swap a 420a with a 4g63T would cost less than a grand?

 

If by less you mean more and by grand you mean 3-4g... then yes.
