well i guess. i'm waiting for my aem short ram intake. it should be here tomorrow evening. will it be easy for me to install it myself? i do know how to work with tools and the matter of fact, i did change my gear shift boot myself. future project is to install a short shifter.

What i would look into is the cold crank sensor. this sensor should make the car idol at about 1100 rpm until warm than it drops to the regular 800 rpm. my friend had this problem and chaged his and poof it was fixed. also yuo should let the car idol for a few min in cold wether because if you are driving rigat at startup it could hurt the motor in cold wether also what weight of oil are u using if it hardly reaches 100 outside you need 5w30 if it is over 100 often and not so cold in winter use 10w30 this is straght from the haynes book.

do you mean the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor?

hey guys,
i did a check engine on my eclipse at it dispplayed 1231 code. i went to this website ( http://www.20v.org/fault.htm ) and check for the code. guess what, it is fit directly with my problem. do you guys have any suggestion about it? how about changing the sensor?

id try and help ya out here, but i try and stay away from the electronics, unless its a stereo..............
