i have a greddy rs bov and e316g on a 2g gst. i posted earlier about needing a tune and i have a fpr and safc2 on the way but i thought id play around with the car a lil.
k so here is what it has been doing, up until about 4k rpm, whenever the turbo starts to spool, it actually bogged the car down a bit till it hit 4k and then after that it would run great. well idk wat happened but earlier today it started completely losing power until 4k, almost like the bov was letting off early. i didn't see any boost leaks when i checked so im kinda confused about what happened, does this sound like anything other than a boost leak???
my friend said my stock injectors might be peaking out, even though im sure this makes basically no sense since it gets better after that rpm, i put my 550s in there anyways for fun, hey it only takes ten minutes so why not try it out. k well i did that and now instead of losing power until 4k, it pretty much shuts down completely whenever it starts to boost, even as low as 1 psi it just sputters and the car pretty much just coasts. I'm pretty sure there is something else wrong with the car other than just needing a tune, please get back to me as soon as possible. putting the stock injectors back in until i figure out what this problem is.
also the cel is on for fuel trim, which i was told was because the bigger turbo.

well you really really need a Wideband in that car otherwise you could be doing damage and not even know it. You may be running too much boost or too lean. Also you may have bad ignition. Or it could be a boost leak.

ya lol i put them in pretty much immediately after i put the 550s in, im runnin 10 pounds. an yes i did a boost leak check and it checked out fine, i think it was my bov but its fine now. BTW i just got my new glowshift egt boost and oil pressure gauges in they look sexy, also got my fpr and safc2 in today happy me.
could definately use help puttin the safc2 in my car, i think im going to take it to a speed shop and let them handle it but if its easy then id like to do it myself and save the 100 bucks lol...
