unhooked battery to reset ecu. for about 3 hours. pos and neg

plugged them in again, and only the cabin light turns on.
i put my key in ignition, and it wouldnt start!!!

i leave key in on position for like 2 min and radio lights up. and car has power.

so i turn my headlights on, and the whole car shuts down, back to phase 1. wtf.

am i supposed to wait a certain period of time before restarting car???
what is the process of reseting the ecu. i left my key in there again for about 5 min but nothing else happend.

sounds like a bad connection on the battery terminal. Check the terminals for corrosion. If they are bad thenjust replace them. Its pretty cheap.

some of those symptoms sound like low battery, but other sound like a short.... is your battery fully charged? and if not, did you check the corrosion like eng said?

yah it looks fine. i mean the car turned over right before i disconnected the battery, to recet the ecu. there should be no problem with it. but there is.

take the terminals back off and clean them, then try again

Check for a blown fuse.. or many blown fuses. I think the main 100A fuse is gone.

The reason for it idling like ****.. is that it needs to learn.
