HEY GUYS IM NEW HEAR AND LOOKING AT AN ECLIPSE.


I AM LOOKING AT A 2003 ECLIPSE GT. ITS 5SPD AND IN MINT CONDITION. I AM JUST WONDERING IF THEY ARE GOOD RELIABLE CARS OR IT THEY ARE KNOWN TO HVAE PROBLEMS. IT HAS 66 THO MILES AND I WILL BE GETTING A BUMPER TO BUMPER WARENTEE. I DROVE IT IT SEEMS PRETTY QUICK IS THEIR ALOT OF MODS I CAN DO TO THIS BEING A V6. I KNOW ALL THE OTHER ECLIPSES U CAN MOD TO THE SKY.


ANY INFO U CAN GIVE ME WOULD BE AWSOME.

Let me start... Yes they are reliable car. Yes there are some mods out there but it cost big $$$$ to make them fast cars.... just ask WPspyder, he knows damn well.

His car is turbo charged stock motor and at 130k miles or something like that and nearly 300WHP ran a 13.4 or somthing like that. The stock pistons can only do so much though they are pretty much maxed out where he is running them. but get a built motor and you got more room to move again.

i had a 2002 GT spyder before the Evo. I liked it. Had basic mods on it and it was not that fast but it was quick. Fun car to boot aroung in with the topper down and I only had 32k on it when I bougt it and 42 when I traded it in lol..... yeathat was done in only 6 months then the Evo came around

 

all my buddies have like 240s, a civic with a b18swap and a tib gt6sp v6. i sold my trans am to my best friend when my wife got pregnant and he still has that. im just lookign for somthing fun to go light to light with and hit a car show once and a while. figure if i can find intake exhaust cams pullies flyhwheel and clutch thats all i would need. mabye go witha 40 or 50shot and run witht with my old trans am.

idk this dealer is asking 12.999 but like i said i will get a warentee with it too. and they are gonna give me what i owe on my truck. im gonna have to think about it. im in NY state you think that price is kinda high??? i know that the gt go alot higher than the rs and what not.

ya its a pain in the *** to get a car inspected. if your check engine light is on you wont pass. really gay but you should see some of the dirt bag cars that people drive hear so i guess its good in a way. helps clean us up alittle

honestly I personally think 12900 is high... I paid $15k for my spyder it was an 02 and I bought it in late 04 with 32k on it... and the spyder are more expensive cars. on top of that the spyder had the sun and sound pack with the disc changer in dash from the factory and all other options.. I personally think I would try to take the car just a little less $$$$ maybe around 10900 or something.

 

thanks alot. i though it was kinda high.they have a really nice spyder but its not 5sp and they want 18tho for it. i think im gonna see what i can get out of them. idk i can get a bran new oz rally lancer for just 50bucks more a mo but that thing felt gutless. i always though lancers were suposed to be quick but when i drove it i was not impressed at all. idk im gonna also see what else i can get for cars. idk i just need to trade my truck in thast the big part.
