Default 05 spyder power window switch

How can i test a power window switch. My alternator went bad and put out to much voltage. Before I found out the alternator was bad I used the driver-side front window and it stopped working. All the other windows work. The charging system is fixed now but the window still does not work. When I put the top up or down the other windows work normally (they go down) but not the drivers door window. I looked at the switch and I see it is electronic so I was wondering if it is just the switch. Any help with how to test the switch or motor? 2005 Eclipse Spyder GT
Thanks,
Evelyn

Test the motor by hooking it straight up to a 12v circuit, like the battery. Test the switch using a good motor.

I'm trying to avoid taking off the door panel. I can't find good directions to remove the grab handle on the door panel. all the directions reference a different door panel. i took out the screws around the panel and the latch handle, popped out the clips around the edge of the door but the grab handle is still tight to the door. Any tips on getting it off? this is the door style i have.

I do not know how to remove it, as I've never owned one myself.

There is no way you can test it without removing the door panel. Keep at it, it really shouldn't be that difficult. They design these things with idiot autobody shops in mind.

I found my test method. On page 42-56 of the manual at the top of the 3g thread page http://tearstone.com/eclipsefsm/GR00007400-42.pdf The page has the ohm readings for the window switch and I was able to determine the switch was bad and what wires to use to test the motor. All is well with my baby again. I enclosed the link because some of the links don't work.
