Default How do I manually install a switch for the power window?

1999 Mitsubishi Gallant

Been having trouble with the drivers side power window forever. Anyone know how to manually install a toggle type switch for a power window? I just want to totally bypass the factory switch and install my own switch manually. I went to the auto parts store and they had two basic types of toggle switches. On-Off, which I know won't work, and On-Off-On, which I think might work but I'm not sure. The switch has to reverse polarity to make the window go up or down obviously. Anyone know how to go about this?

PS. Where do I get a proper toggle switch? The ones at the auto parts store "stay" in each position instead of being spring loaded and always moving back to the center "off" position.
