2001 Eclipse GT(changing the belt)
We've got 2001 Eclipse that we're getting ready to sell but before we can sell it I need to replace the belt on it.
The belt that runs the alternator cracked and fell off. Is this something I can replace myself or so I need to take it to the local shop?
My second question is can we drive it two blocks to the shop without this belt?
I hate to take it some where I'll probably have to pay hundreds of dollars for something they can do in an hour. Then bring it home and put it on eBay. We love this car but with a baby on the way its not the best "mommy car".
Any help would be great.

so loosen the nut on the actual pully, got it. Next question would be how the heck do I get a wrench in there.
ok, anyone from Chicago that can do this come on out. I'll buy the beer.

I was trying to get to the one ON the pully, that's a no go. There's a nut on a long bolt just to the right of that....it looks like it holds the alternator on.
I'm thinking I need to bus out the digital camera.
