i recentley bought a 2001 gt (2 days ago) after buying it i filled it up with 92 octane a day later the service engine soon light came on, so i called the dealer and she said sometimes with these kind of vehicles different octane levels can set it off, im wondering if this is true or has hapend to anyone else? i brought it to the dealers shop he said the code came up as the manifold pressure valve, but could that have something to do with putting the higher octane in the car? the manual says the car should run on 90 octane i think. id apreciate any feedback, thanks

your fine with 92. sounds like the didnt tighten the **** out of the gas cap. These cars are extra sensitive to that. I have had a service engine light come on a million times from just the gas cap. Just make sure you tighten it so it makes that clicking niose then keep spinning it.
Sounds like I am making that up but these cars are courky for sure I have had 3 of them
