SO A TURBO IS NOT THE WAY TO GO?? I HAVE A COLD AIR INTAKE SYSTEM NOW, BUT NO EXHAUST--YET. EVER SINCE I PUT THE COLD AIR INTAKE ON, MY ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON EVERY NOW AND THEN. IS THIS NORMAL?? HOW DO I FIX THIS??

 

Next time it comes on take it to autozone and have them read the code, that will tell you what its for. You should notbe throwing acode
just from a cold air intake. Do you have any sensors connected to your intake? If so checkandmake sure none are loose. Andunfortunately aturbo is really not the way to go on the gts. It has high compression piston and cannot handle boost very well at all.

 

ONLY ONE SENSOR ON INTAKE AND IT IS CONNECTED JUST FINE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE DEAL IS. I TOOK THE COLD AIR INTAKE OFF AND THE ENGINE LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON ANYMORE. ??????? DON'T KNOW

 

That is a little strange. Like i said before, the best thing to do is take it to autozone and have them tell you what is throwing the code.

 

Oh and where did you buy the intake, is it a name brand or ebay brand?

 

All said and done it's around 10k to get the turbo on a GTS and have it done right...

Someone that's done it can throw out a better number...

Maybe if I knock out a couple more teeth and see if the tooth fairy wants to make a donation the the "Mike wants a Turbo" fund...
