Default 2006 Eclipse GT

Hi everyone,
I'm the new owner of an 06 Eclipse GT in Ultra Red. I love the car especially all the power it has. I'm new to the Eclipse so was wondering if any of you had some tips. Here's a few questions I have.

1. I've added a K&N filter but is there any other little adjustments I can make to help it breath better, like removing the resonator or adding a cold air?
2. I was thinking about running Castrol Syntec since I do lay into the engine from time to time, is syntec a good choice?
3. What type exhaust would help it sound a little louder but not to loud. I love the sound it has but just want to raise the volume a notch?
4. Any warranty items I need to look out for? I still have 4 years and 50,000 left on warranty. Bothe the brake recalls have already been done.
5. Is it better to lainch with TCL on or off?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

well your going to have to call your dealer because i asked about buying a new shortblock from them and i said that i have an intake and exhaust and they said that it would void the warrenty.

adding a cold air would definetly add a bit more hp but not much. I am not sure if that would void warrenty though. It really depends on the dealer and the problem. For better sound quality you might want to look into a catback exhaust system. But its probably gonna be tough to find because aftermarket on that car is still very limited.

Yeah, I noticed there's not much available yet.
I have a K&N filter now and the stock air ducts run to the front of the radiator just under the hood. How much different is a cold air? Most I've seen have the filter under the hood wich would be sucking hot air.

aftermarket intake voiding warranty = GAY!!!!! That blows.

You could go to Meineke (or other shop) and have them do a custom exhaust. I did that for my truck a while back. They just take your pipe, map it with the mandrel and you choose a muffler to go on it. It won't be what everyone else has, but it will be something.
