Default Crank but no idle straight to a stall

My homegirl has a 2001 Spyder. We changed the battery today after a little start-up trouble and havent had a problem since with the starting aspect. Trouble is, the first time after and every time since we changed the battery, it will crank in a flawless nature but will immediately decrease in rpms to 0. The stall can be be avoided by giving her some gas to keep her at about a grand, but considering she's a stick it really cant be avoided. Loosing power steering on a curved offramp wasnt fun. Any help?

eclipse idle learned in the pcm when you change the battery it will loose the memory the idle sensor is in the throttle body and gets gummed up over time thats why it hasnt reset if you get a can of throttle body cleaner or just induction cleaner and spray in the throttle body to clean it out it should reset you may have to hold gas to it for a sec or two but it will work

sorry almost forgot you shouldnt ever have to adjust your idle it is controlled by the ecm and you may get yourself more problems

Second time I've heard that, so I think thats where I'm headed. Kinda dumb that it works like that though. Adjust the idle screw would def f things up...
