Dash Board Lights

RE: Dash Board Lights
I assume you've fiddled with the **** that controls the brightness/dimness of the dashboard lights? If it's all the way in the clockwise (approx. 5:00) position, the dash won't light up at all. Turn it up and see if the dash brightens.
(I apologize if I've insulted your intelligencebut it never hurts to make sure a person hasn't overlooked the obvious.)
Good luck on finding the solution; I know it must be a letdown to have such an alarming problem on a car you've just purchased.

RE: Dash Board Lights
I checked the dimmer and turned the **** and nothing changed....I checked the fuse as well but it was fine....the turn signal lights work, the seat belt light, etc work, do you think that maybe some bulbs are burnt out?

RE: Dash Board Lights
if all the lights are out, your ribbon strip may be burnt up. thats actually the problem with mine right now, dont have any money to spend on a new one tho. pop out the gauges and check on the back, you should see the ribbon strip (like a flexible circuit board) one of the connections may be burnt up

RE: Dash Board Lights
Update: Bringing the car into the dealer tomorrow and they are installing a whole new wiring harness in the car bc it looks like the previous owner did some custom rigging with the radio and lights and screwed things up...the passenger tail light and front corner light don't work when the lights are turned on at nite....go figure, lol....
