well as u can see im realy intrested in the eclipse family. i was just looking for some opinions on the eclipse gt and if u think the v6 is worth the extra or not (3rd gen)

 

If you wnat a car to build up to be fast. the GT is not the one to get... if you want TQ and a quick car and want to keep it mostly stock get the GT. I have owed one of each GT and GS that is.

yea we know that hahaha. But you cant deny the 4G64 is even better and easier to make faster than the GT is.

 

and also most ppl that are asking these questions about the cars don't have the budget you have.

 

lol yeah my budgetis about 7500 to 8000 but my pops wants me to save a grand for insurance so it might be a little lower and i need to sell my dirtbike first too

 

if ur lookin for a power plant, get a 1st or 2nd gen gs-t or gsx

 

Ive got a 3g GT, and a 2g TSi... after putting little amounts of work ($1-3K) Id def. have to say that the 2G would still whip the sh*t outta the 3g... theres simply no comparison. Keeping in mind that Mitsu. almost literaly tossed the 3g Eccy into production... its really nothing more than a body mod on a Chrysler Sebring. Whereas the 1 and 2g are serious sports cars.

 

fast...i tell you fast...i mean the 1 and 2 gen

 

Anyone know if the 4G Eccy shares its platform or motor with anything? Just for reference....
