Hey guys, I was looking into getting a 3g Spyder GTS with the v6. I'm curious if anyone still makes turbo or supercharger kits for the car. I'm not looking to do lots of power. I'm wanting to stay on stock internals and just add a little power since its going to be a daily driver. Any thoughts? Thanks.

 

Ripp Mods made a supercharger for the v6. I do not know if they still do. The 4 was the way to go to make lots of power. Same block as the earlier evo's so easier swaps and lots of possibilities. The v6 also had a tendency to have one of the front cylinders ( I don't remember which one) to go lean and blow up under forced induction due to a poor intake design. Most people switched to a different intake system. Also is it a Canadian or U.S. GTS? The U.S. ones had the slightly different intake plenum and higher compression giving 5 more h.p but making it blow up much easier. The canadian one shat the vins shows as a GTS are actually just regular gt with the more common intake. Check some of the eclipse sites for better info as I never got around to modding mine. Marriage and 2 kids will do that sometimes. Good luck I really liked my eclipse, it is still a great looking car.
