Just curious
Hey guys,
I just got my car back from the shop (03 Spyder GTS) because my engine mount decided it was going to split in half... I wish I could say my car is a powerhouse and could produce enough torque to break the bloody mounts, but alas that is not the case...
I haven't had any accidents and I don't push the car too hard to begin with...
The most it gets is when I'm passing people going to ocean city or the occasional annoying ricer...
But that's all in motion, so it's not popping the clutch...
Has anyone else had any problems like this with theirs? My mechanic was laughing with me because he was hoping I could explain how the heck it happened, and I was hoping he would do the same for me... But we're both stumped...
Thanks,
~Mike

RE: Just curious
Eclipses don't have too good of motor mounts so aftermarket ones are best for ya. If it was the one on the passenger side then it prolly got dry rotted by the resevour overflow hose if it sits on your motor mount. Other than that I'm not real sure. *shrugs*
