Default leaking convertible top

2003 Eclipse Spyder GTS 3.0 V6

Found some water in both front and rear pass side foot well areas.

Older Convertibles tend to leak some water, Well we just found water in both front and rear pass side foot well areas.

Any suggestions where to start looking?

John

I have the same issue as well..same year and a GTS. Mine leak at the point where the front of the top meets the seal at the top of the windshield..both sides leak.
Someone on YouTube showed me that the issue is with the weather stripping that channels water being CLOSED or clogging up. The temporary solution was they cut a STRAW in half, and put it STRAW inside of the water channels.. enough so it can be retrieved by hand.
BUT I have a better idea to buy some tubing small enough to fit into into the channels.
I haven't tried it out yet(working on my timing belt and spark plugs..which is very time consuming).
But if you do it before I do, let me know how it goes.
Try it with a straw first...if that works..then buy tubing small enough for the water channels..cost about $4 at O'REILLY.
