2001 Eclipse, v6 3.0L I have a check engine light. Had it scanned and shows faulty manifold pressure sensor.
1.) repair manual indocates MAP on 2.0L and MDP on 3.0L. Is this correct (no MAP on 3.0L)? or does it have MAP and MDP?
2. Need source for MDP. I find MAPs in plenty of auto parts sites but no MDP.

 

that is correct. no MAP sensor on the 3G.

 

Interesting that several auto parts sites show a MAP for the 3.0L

 

i have noticed that too. it even shows up on a dealership parts catalog. but when i look it up in the factory service manual....there is not mention of it.
