Hi i have a 2001 eclipse gt that is stalling out 1/10 times i start it.
I'm assuming this can't be good, but I don't know the cause.

Also she isn't accelerating at what i would expect to be normal for the v6 dohc.
Is there anything else i could do to help it go faster?
Also about the stalling out I'm thinking it could be the fuel filter?
Any help would be greatly appreciated due to the fact that the dealer or small garage won't tell me what's wrong without bringing it in and paying the 100$.

I used to own a 2001 Mitsubishi eclipse gt( I have a 2003 gts now) and the random stalling was an indicator for me to replace the alternator. Have autozone check both the alternator and starter while you are at it since they both needed replacing when I was over 180,000 miles. If you have a local trusted shop, they may be able to check for a little bit more while it's already in there for your fuel pump and your air filter/cold air intake if you have that if it needs cleaning. How many miles are on your car? Have you replaced the alternator, starter and battery?
