I have recently bought a 2001 Eclipse Gt stock and I am looking to start upgrading it. I currently have 1500 and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to start.

Ok. I appreciate the site for the parts but are there any ideas on what to start with first to gain more horse power or what not

First place to start upgrading is the intake and the exhaust...

Both of those you can do for under 1500...

Those won't give you a huge kick, but they'll give some...

Handling you can go strut bar or get lowering springs...

Again not drastic differences, but you'll notice it...

That ought to get you off and started for now...

Dont expect much from intake and exhaust work on that car. Or any car for that matter... like Sebba said, follow that link for large HP gains. Intake and exhaust will prolly only get you around 8-10whp. Whereas, a F/I system will bring you closer to 60 depending on what parts you use.

get suspension. Lower it do struts and strut bars ect. 3G eclipse's were slacked in the handling area of the car. With the extra cash go iintake and exhaust. maybe headers and a tuned SAFCII as well
