Default power steering fluid?

Hey everyone. I've got a 2002 eclipse gt. My power steering fluid is a little low. My owner's manual says to use "Diamond ATF". I called two dealers and one said to use regular power steering fluid and the other dealer said to use dexron transmission fluid. Which is it? Also, what brand do you recommend.

Thanks!

Dextron II will work fine. Do NOT use Mitsu SPIII ATF as this will cause havoc on your power steering system. There's a techtalk article warning us not to use it for PS fluid. IF you can get your hands on Diamond SPII fluid, you'll be fine. Before SPIII ATF came out- SPII was always used as the PS fluid.
