RE: Problem with Acceleration

Okay I see what you are saying. Let me clarify here, when I start the car up from standstill, I am under 1500RPM. If I am at a red light at stand still sometimes (if challenged) (in first gear) will take off until first gear reaches 4-6k RPM before shifting, and it is then one swift motion changing through the gears (popping the clutch only enough to change the gears, taking foot off gas all the way, then pedal to the metal, and no foot on the clutch at all. Sorry I misread what you were asking.

I have heard of and tried rev. matching......it is kinda ackward though. BTW I taught myself how to drive.......I know thats the problem.....lol
I will say I have been told by my tuner friends to use the 5th gear trick to check the clutch as well. They are avid track racers to boot...

Shifting at redline isn't a problem.

If your clutch only lasted this long, then something has to be wrong with your driving style. It should last almost 3 times that.

What is your take on replacements? I was talking my friends and they recommended a Stage 2, 6 puck clutch kit, telling me that is would last even longer than an OEM even with my driving style, and that I could even do power shifting as well. Just curious.... I also did the 5th gear test, and it is definately the clutch......but you already knew that....lol Thanks man
