Spark Plug Tube Seals
So I installed Spark Plug Tube seals and a Valve Cover Gasket. The guys at the dealership said mitsubishi does not recommend using silicone rtv on the spark plug tube seals two people said. i do know one thing after 80 thousand miles the tube seals were hard as a rock. Well it was fun to put them on , and i'm leak free now. my valve cover gasket was dry rotted it had cracks all through it.

Yeah its easy to do all though i read some kid was doing his and killed the cover bolts and I also read someone made the mistake of just hand tightening them.
Yeah I had thick grease in Cylinder tube #4 the rest were fine. It's just my thought that when you put the round grommets on the tubes that you press down hard and evenly with one hand. My pan was so so hard to get off I had to use a hammer and pry it off where the metal box is where one of the plugs go. Them gaskets harden up bigtime after all the heat over the years + they adhere to metal. There was thick oil buildup around the belt area and what worried me the most was oil getting on the timing belt. O well I saved $47 on labor charges by doing this myself loool. O yeah I used brake clean man to clean off the valve cover inside and wiped it dry. I used OEM seals and gasket forget them cheap Fel Pro Gaskets. I use Genuine Mitsubishi all the way home ahhahahha.
