Default Stalling issue

I have a 2001 Eclipse GT and today I was thinking about putting in a amp and subs so first I want to see if there was a way to run a power wire. So I disconnected my battery and took it out then took off my air intake tube so I could look around better then I put everything back in and I went to drive it shortly after and it was fine for like a mile then it stalled at a red light. I then started back up and it went right down to 400rpms so I took off and pulled into a lot, and the car starts fine but drops down to 400, back up slightly then stalls. Did I forget something like do I need to do something special after having disconnected the battery? its an auto btw.

when the battery fails or you disconnect it, the memory for the idle spped control motor is wiped out. the pcm and the idle motor have to relearn idle. sometimes if you let the car sit and run for about 15 minutes with the a/c on, usually it relearns base idle. but in some cases you have to take it to the dealer and let us adjust it back to factory specs. usually its a 1 hour labor charge.
