Stock 1/4 mile help
Does anybody know what the 1/4 mile times are for a stock 2000 Eclipse GT? Whats the WHP and torque too? And can anybody tell me at what RPM should I launch my car so that the wheels dont spin?
The wheels will always spin unless you get DRs, MM, and alot of suspension
stock 1/4 o0n average is about 15.1 but some will break 14s in a 2000 model since they are faster than the GT of the later years (not buy much though)
stock wheel HP is prob about 170

launching at about 2200rpms and feathering the clutch will allow you to launch very well without spinning. if you are just dropping the clutch, then you will always spin.

There is a web site called http://dragtimes.com that will have a couple of V6 GT's and GTS's ( GTS have 5 more horsepower ) 1/8 and 1/4 mile times, you can get an idea of what they are turning on average. Before I purchased by 2001 gt w/ 5 speed, I looked at some reviews and most were around 15.3 at 88 to 89 m.p.h. Launching the car is kind of hard to get right, 3000 is way too much and 2400 is almost a blog down. You may have to ride some cluth to keep the tires from spinning.
