Hello, I was wondering if you could possibly tell me if this is supposed to be like this or if its a problem. I tried to get a good picture of it but its pretty tucked back under the hood. Its to the right of my engine. I drive a 2002 Eclipse 3L.

Looks like a slave cylinder.

 

Is it supposed to look like that? I dunno, I guess it seemed a little wet to me. I thought something might be leaking from it or onto it.

 

Is the clutch fluid low and how does the pedal feel?

 

Fluid looks good, pedals soft but I figure its just from being old. Would I be wrong in assuming that?

 

doesnt look like the slave is leaking, but rather the rear main seal is leaking and the clutch is slinging oil inside the bell housing.
