theres a little clip one the throwout bearing you need to realise with a screw driver. better yet go toadvance auto pick up one of those haynes repair books, thats were we found out how.

the clip shouldnt be the problem he already took it off. and estraw, WD-40 burns off so quick it will be fine, i have sprayed down many things with it then used a propane torch on it, it dries so fast it barely even catches fire..

im not setting my trans on fire. according to the online manual, i have to break through a plastic seal with a screw driver then there is a snap ring that i can get to from there that seems like it might be whats holding everything up. iim gonna have to try that when i go back home.

no i havent been back home yet, but im confident that its that snapring. i talked to my shop teacher too (specializes in transmissions) and he said that he thinks that snap ring is whats holding it up also.. and so do a few other sources, so right now it looks like thats my best bet
