Just bought a '09 Eclipse GS. During out test drive a couple of days ago, the check engine light came on. They took it to the Mitsu dealership, they said it said EVAP code, checked everything out and decided gas in tank had too much alcohol in it, or bad gas. They added some premium to tank and reset the light.

Purchased car anyway, only 26K and looks brand new. On the way home, light came on again. Pulled into Advance Auto, and they said it had "knock sensor 1" code, but I didn't think to ask about the code number.

No noticeable pinging or knocking, accelerates smooth and runs great. Any suggestions before I take another day off and blow my stack at the dealership? If you think it could be gas, there are a few Pure gas stations around here (we primarily run 10% ethanol in our area of NC unfortunately). I had a Jeep once that drove me crazy with codes, and I just don't want another vehicle like that.
