Default 2007 Eclipse Dash 'Lifting'

I'm dealing with a 2007 Eclipse and one of the most annoying issues is that the vinyl covered dash pad is lifting off the dash at the top on the passenger side. I'm sure the AZ heat had something to do with this. How the heck to you reattach it and keep it from lifting again? The dealer wanted an arm and a leg for the replacement part. Don't think it needs to be replaced. Any help on this one? Not used to working on Eclipses so much.

High strength 3M double-sided tape might work.

For a more permanent bond, you might try testing to see what sticks in terms of a clear glue, silicone, etc. With whatever seems to work, mask the area, be neat and have some means of holding everything in place until the adhesive cures.

Might mess with it in the next week. Gotta partially remove the dash to install the auxillary input cord on the stereo. So maybe I'll try the 3M double sided tape that I have. Here in Arizona the dash takes a real beating with the sun. So my fingers are crossed that the adhesive will hold. I'll give that a try first. If that doesn't hold, then I'll go with a more heavy duty adhesive from the auto paint store that will smell real good with the windows rolled up. Really looks like cr*p right now.
